Introduction
Managing screening packages allows for the simple and efficient recording of complex processes consisting of multiple specialist examinations. Using the system, users can find appointment combinations that coordinate the free capacities of several doctors and specialties, minimizing patient waiting time.
This function is not only suitable for recording new bookings but also provides full management for modifying or deleting existing ones. In the calendar interface, screening packages are visually distinguished from individual bookings, making coordination clearer.
The following guide details the steps for configuring screening packages, identifying them in the calendar view, and the processes for modification and cancellation.
Main Content
Selecting and Configuring a Screening Package
The booking process can be initiated in the left sidebar menu under Screening module > Screening Package Booking.
Select the desired package from the Select screening package! list. The specialties and services belonging to the package will then appear.
Check the Priority column: the numbers here determine the order of the examinations.
If necessary, you can expand the list using the Add new item button or delete items with the red trash can icon.
Set the search parameters (period, maximum waiting time, morning start, etc.) and click the Search button.
Display in the Calendar
The system assists with visual differentiation: bookings belonging to a screening package appear in the calendar with a striped pattern. This indicates to the user that the given appointment is part of a complex series of examinations, rather than an individual booking.
Modification and Cancellation Process
Screening packages are managed through the calendar interface in the usual way:
Find the screening package booking you wish to modify or cancel in the calendar.
Click on the booking to open the Booking details window.
Cancellation: Click the red Cancellation button to delete the booking.
Modifying Appointment: Click the yellow Modify button. The system will then redirect you to a calendar interface where you can select a new time slot in locations where there are no other bookings.
Modifying Package: Use the green Modify package button to make changes affecting the content of the package or the assigned services.
Tips
Tip: If continuity is important for the patient, set the "Max waiting time" field to a low value (e.g., 15 minutes) during the search so the system offers a tighter schedule.
Tip: The striped pattern helps to quickly identify screening packages even in dense calendar views.
Tip: By using the "Pre-reservation" function, you can temporarily hold the slot until the patient finalizes their decision.
