Log and Event Tracking Overview

Updated over 3 weeks ago

The log menu point allows for the retrospective tracking of all significant modifications and events within the system. This feature is essential for auditing administrative processes, identifying the source of errors, and ensuring transparency in the work performed within the system. It shows exactly who modified what data and when.

Using the Log

To access this feature, click on the Log menu item located in the sidebar on the left.

Filtering Options

You can search through log entries based on the following parameters:

  • Log type: Filter by new entries (Addition), edits to existing data (Modification), or removals (Delete).

  • Settings: Select the specific area of the system you wish to view entries for (e.g., doctor profile, calendar, exclusions, examinations, institutional settings, internal users, or traffic channels).

  • Date range: Specify the start and end dates for the search period.

Viewing Entries and Details

The listed results display the exact timestamp of the event, the name of the user who performed the action, and a brief description of the activity.

  • Details: Clicking the button next to an entry opens a table comparing the state before the modification (Old) and after (New). This is particularly useful for changes in calendar data or examination prices.

  • Links: Next to certain log entries, a direct link is available. Clicking this will immediately navigate you to the relevant settings page (e.g., editing a specific examination), allowing for quick correction of any erroneous entries.

Tips

Quick Fix: If you notice an incorrect modification in the log, use the "Link" button at the end of the row. This saves time navigating through the menu system and takes you directly to the item's data sheet for correction.

Monitoring: Regularly checking the "Delete" log type is recommended to avoid data loss from accidentally removed examinations or calendar entries.

Summary

  • The log records every modification made within the system.

  • Entries can be filtered by action type, area, and date.

  • The "Details" button shows the exact values before and after the change.

  • Direct links provide fast access to the affected settings.
