Uploading and managing documents is performed through the patient data sheet following these steps:
Process of Uploading a Document
Navigate to Patient handling and then to the Patient database menu in the left sidebar.
Search for and select the relevant patient from the list.
On the patient data sheet, click on the Documents tab in the top menu bar.
Click the Add new document button.
In the pop-up window, drag and drop the file or select it from your computer.
Provide the document details:
Type: Select the appropriate category (e.g., X-ray image, Laboratory result, Final report, Other document, etc.).
Accessible by patient?: Set whether the document should be visible to the patient via the patient portal.
Click the Upload button to finalize the process.
Managing Existing Documents
Uploaded documents appear in a list where the following actions can be performed using the icons in the Action column:
View (Eye icon): Open and check the content of the document.
Edit (Pencil icon): Modify the document type or the patient accessibility setting.
Delete (Trash icon): Permanently remove the document from the system.
Tips
Tip: Always select the accurate document type, as this facilitates quick searching and filtering in the patient's records later.
Tip: If you set the "Accessible by patient" option to "Yes," the patient can immediately view the uploaded report on their own interface, saving time on sending it via email.
