Setting up Exclusion Reasons

Updated over 2 months ago

Introduction

The system allows for the definition of various exclusion reasons (such as lunch breaks, holidays, or other absences). These settings facilitate more accurate management of doctors' and specialists' schedules, as non-bookable periods can be marked with these labels in the calendar.

This article guides you through creating new exclusion reasons within the institution settings and assigning colors for better visibility.

Adding a New Exclusion Reason

Exclusion reasons are recorded within the location editing view.

  1. In the left sidebar, navigate to the Locations option.

  2. Find the desired location in the list and click the Edit button at the end of the row.

  3. Scroll down to the section labeled Treatment of reasons for exclusion.

  4. Enter the name of the exclusion reason in the input field (e.g., "Break").

  5. Select a color using the color picker. This color will appear in the calendar when this exclusion reason is applied.

  6. Click the add/save icon at the end of the row.

Tips

Automatic Saving: When adding exclusion reasons, the system saves the new item immediately. There is no need to scroll to the bottom of the page and click the main "Save" button to update the list.

Color Coding: It is recommended to use logical color coding (e.g., red for holidays, yellow for breaks) to make the reason for absence identifiable at a glance in the calendar view.

Summary

  • Exclusion reasons are added under Institution Settings within Location editing.

  • Each reason can have a unique name and color.

  • Saving occurs automatically when expanding the list.
