This article explains the functionality of the "Current Appointments" menu, designed primarily for reception staff to manage daily patient flow. The interface allows for real-time monitoring, filtering, editing, and quick status updates of bookings. It provides a clear overview of appointments for a selected period, covering either a single institution or multiple locations.
Using the Feature
Upon opening the menu, the user is presented with a list view where various filtering and management actions can be performed.
Filtering Settings and Data Retrieval
To display data, first define the query parameters:
Select Period: Choose the desired time interval from the dropdown menu in the top bar (e.g., Today, Tomorrow, From now).
Set Update Frequency: As this interface is often kept open at the reception, you can set an automatic refresh rate (e.g., 1 minute, 5 minutes, 10 minutes) or choose "No update".
Define Institution Scope:
Selected Institution Bookings: Lists data only for the institution currently active in the left sidebar.
All Institution Bookings: If the user is assigned to multiple clinics or locations, this button allows viewing bookings from all assigned institutions simultaneously.
After applying settings, the system lists the relevant bookings.
Searching the List
The system offers two methods to find specific data:
General Search: Use the search bar in the top right corner to search across the entire table.
Column-Level Filtering: Each column header (e.g., Patient Name, Doctor, Service) contains a search field to filter specifically by that column's content.
Managing and Editing Bookings
The following actions can be performed on items in the list:
Edit: Clicking the "Edit" button in the row opens the detailed reservation card, where all details can be modified (similar to the calendar view).
Quick Status Change: The "Internal status" column can be modified directly from the list view. This is used to record if a patient has arrived or did not show up. Statuses are customizable (e.g., "To be called", "Recalled").
Export: The displayed data can be downloaded in Excel format for further processing.
