Managing Doctor Profiles

Managing doctor profiles in the Medio system is a fundamental function that allows medical institutions to add doctors, edit their profiles, and manage their access to institutions. Below, we outline the steps for adding and editing doctor profiles.

Doctor Profiles Menu

The management of doctor profiles is accessible on the Medio admin interface, found in the sidebar menu under the Doctors section, where you can add new doctors and edit existing profiles under the “Doctor Profiles” submenu.

Adding a New Doctor

Clicking the “Add New Doctor” button opens a search where you can enter the doctor's registration number or name to check if they are already in the Medio system. If the doctor is already in the system, you can request access to their profile and add the doctor to the institution.

Steps:

  1. Search for Doctor:

    • You can search by the doctor's registration number or name.

    • If the system already contains the doctor's information, the profile will appear in the search results.

  2. Add Doctor to Institution:

    • If the doctor is already in the system, you can request access to add them to the institution.

    • Once assigned to the institution, the doctor's profile becomes visible to the institution.

Creating a New Doctor Profile

If the doctor is not found in the search results, you can create a new doctor profile. To do this, click the “Create New Doctor” button.

Steps to Create a New Doctor Profile:

  1. Enter Basic Information:

    • Provide the doctor's title, first name, last name, and other basic information (phone number, email address).

    • It's important to ensure the email address and phone number are correct, as these are unique data and can only be assigned to one doctor.

  2. Assign Institutions:

    • The new doctor can be assigned to multiple institutions.

    • In the assign institution section at the bottom of the page, you can select the institutions where the doctor will be available.

  3. Save:

    • After entering all the necessary information, click the Save button to create the new doctor profile for the institution.

Important Note:

  • The doctor profile data can be modified at any time later. Therefore, if any data (such as phone number or email address) changes, it can be updated in the system later.

Editing a Doctor Profile

If the institution already has doctor profiles, they can be edited under the Doctors -> Doctor Profiles menu. Modifying doctor data allows you to update any information, such as addresses, contact details, or other relevant data.

Steps to Edit a Doctor Profile

  1. Select Doctor Profile:

    • Choose the doctor from the list whose data you want to edit.

    • Click the “Edit Profile” button to open the detailed profile page of the doctor.

  2. Modify Data:

    • On the editing interface that opens, you can modify all the basic data of the doctor, including phone number, email address, address, and other personal data.

  3. Save:

    • After making the desired changes, click the Save button to apply the changes.

IMPORTANT: If the doctor wants to upload a new profile picture, they can do so by clicking the Upload Profile Picture button. If a picture is already uploaded, it will be replaced with the new one.

Removing a Doctor Profile

If the doctor no longer works at the institution, their profile can be removed.

  1. Click the “Edit Profile” button to open the detailed profile page of the doctor.

  2. At the bottom of the page, under the “Institutions Assigned to Doctor” section, you can see which institutions the doctor profile is added to.

  3. Here, by clicking on the institution, the profile can be removed from the institution.

  4. Then, by clicking the Save button, the profile will no longer have access to the institution.
